Located a few hours north and west of us here in Ashland, Oregon, the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology provides educational courses and residencies to artists. And they’re now open for residency applications. Here’s the call:
Calling all painters, novelists, climate activists, photographers, biologists, composers, poets, journalists, architects, film makers, performers, inventors, botanists, curators, foresters, ceramicists, playwrights, illustrators, oceanographers, print makers and change makers.
Apply now for a Fall/Winter 2020 or Winter/Spirng 2021 residency, or share this open call with others. Residents selected for these cohorts will be on campus during Sitka’s 50th anniversary year. Each year, the Sitka Center awards residencies to individuals and collaborators exploring art, ecology and the fertile space in-between. Residency durations range from two weeks to three and a half months.
The Residency Program application portal opened January 7 and the last day to apply for Fall/Winter 2020-Winter/Spring 2021 is March 31, 2020.
